We would recommend once again. We were 3 km from our favourite spot portland basin museum. Audenshaw no 1 reservoir is just next door the hotel. Everything suited the needs...

I really like how friendly the staff were and the service we received was exceptional, I would definately stay here again if i ever need to be in Manchester. I liked that the staff made us feel comfortable and we got to eat breakfast in our PJs.

Staff were so friendly and couldn't be more helpful. The breakfast was gret! The room was very clean, basic, buit modern. No flowery wallpaper etc! The bed was very comfortable and I would definately stay there again. I was there for business.

Friendly, helpful, pleasent staff. As I was over for a wedding and do not know my way around Syd went to the trouble of printing maps to show the route to the church and how to get to the evening reception.

Very caring and efficient staff, beautifully cooked breakfast. They were willing to accomodate my special dietary needs without any fuss. I lost/mislaid my purse and they went to great effort to try to find it, which they did eventually (I had left it outside! And everything was still in it!) and kept it safe until it could be picked up. Every trip to Manchester from now on, I will ask their availabilty first. Also Mount Guest House was easy to find.

Outside it was overgrown with grass and weeds. On arrival towels were found on the bed because there were no hooks or rails in the shower room [not even a holder for the toilet paper!]. Shower tray filled up with water as it was very slow in emptying. Shower room was in a poor state of repair with ill fitting linoleum floor covering. On the second night we left out two bath towels to be replaced but only one was left in their place meaning we had to shower using a hand towel. Tried to contact the proprietor at reception about missing towel but as it was just after 9.30 we got no answer [even phoned them but to no avail]. Hate to think what would have happened if there was an emergency with no staff available. Breakfast was very average. On the plus side the bed sheets were clean.

It was a clean Friendly staff that greeted me As a solo traveller whan I pulled up outside the Hotel I was a little concerned as it looked very start and scruffy and unwelcoming from the outside. 30 minutes weeding would do wonders for first impressions
